New Trash Service

The City of New Ellenton has a new trash service that will begin in June of 2025.  The contractor will be CWS. 

Several changes will be coming with the new trash service:

1. Services will be split between Thursday and Friday.  If you live or have business on Main St. of on the West side of Main St., your garbage will be serviced on Thursday.  If you live or have a business on the East side of Main St., your garbage will be serviced on Friday.    
2. The service for carts will be accomplished with an automatic arm truck.  Instructions for placement of your cart have been placed on a flyer on your cart.  PLEASE follow these instructions.
   1. No more than 3 feet from the curb
   2. Place the cart by the curb the night before your service day
   3. 3 ft clearance around the cart - not w/in 3 ft of mailbox, car, etc.
   4. Have the lid closed (only bagged garbage)
   5. Lid opening facing the road
3. If you have questions or concerns or your garbage is not serviced, please call the city hall the following business day and we will contact Capital Waste for you.
